History of Maa Baglamukhi Temple, Nalkheda
A Divine Blend of Power and Devotion
The temple of Maa Baglamukhi is located in Nalkheda town of Agar Malwa district in Madhya Pradesh, on the banks of the Lakhundar River. This temple is dedicated to the three-faced Trishakti Baglamukhi Devi. It is believed that this temple dates back to the Dwapar Yuga and is considered highly miraculous. Devotees from various states, prominent political figures, local residents, as well as Shaivite and Shakti followers, saints, and tantriks, visit this temple for rituals and spiritual practices. Apart from Maa Baglamukhi, idols of Goddess Mahalaxmi, Lord Krishna, Lord Hanuman, Bhairav Dev, and Goddess Saraswati are also installed here. It is said that on the advice of Lord Krishna, the Pandavas came here to perform penance. Pleased by their devotion, the Goddess blessed the Pandavas with victory. The idol of Baglamukhi here is self-manifested. Ancient Tantra scriptures mention the ten Mahavidyas (Great Wisdom Goddesses).
